The Dominion Mountain Retreat is a free standing, craftsman-style bungalow in the foothills of Old Dominion Mountain, 6.5 miles from downtown Colville. It provides an elegant yet affordable accomodation for special guests and their families, with great views and nature at the doorstep.

The Retreat can sleep up to four people (a fifth in the window seat) and has it's own equipped kitchen, private tiled bath, and two decks (one of them rooftop!) and a covered porch.

Books, games, CD's and art supplies, as well as snowshoes in winter, are supplied for your enjoyment. Candles create a romantic atmosphere. We stock the bungalow with breakfast food and homemade cookies upon arrival, but are also available to prepare other meals by special arrangement and to provide welcome tours if desired.

A hot tub is available for rest and relaxation, and is a lovely place from which to view the night sky when the weather is cool. When the snow melts, you can build a fire in the campfire pit or climb onto the top deck of your bungalow and enjoy the view.

The Dominion Mountain Retreat provides a wonderful home base for exploring our beautiful, remote corner of Washington State. If you prefer, you can relax and enjoy the mountain views, stroll the countryside, and watch for wildlife in your own backyard. Everyday we are visited by deer and wild turkeys. Very often we see hawks, falcons and sometimes eagles and osprey overhead. It is not unusual to hear coyotes at night, and a person with sharp eyes may spot a bear, a snowshoe rabbit or a pileated woodpecker. We are happy to provide information on activites and sights nearby.

Although we are close to Colville, our setting is sufficiently rural that a 4WD vehicle is required for winter access. There is no smoking inside the bungalow.
